AR-FFFP Foam

CLASS B FIRE PROTECTION

Protection for Diverse Liquid Fuel Fires

LCF Fire AR-FFFP Foam Concentrate is formulated for Class B fires involving hydrocarbon fuels and polar solvents. It combines the stability of protein-based foam with film-forming properties and alcohol resistance, creating a protective barrier over the fuel surface to suppress flammable vapors, help control fire, and reduce the risk of reignition.

On hydrocarbon fuels, the foam blanket works alongside an aqueous film. On polar solvents such as alcohols, a protective polymer membrane helps limit foam breakdown caused by the fuel. Suitable fuels, proportioning rates, and application methods should follow the product’s technical instructions.

Dual Fuel Protection

Protects against hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires, addressing a range of liquid fuel hazards.

Alcohol-Resistant Barrier

Forms a protective membrane over polar solvents to limit foam breakdown and maintain effective coverage.

Stable Burnback Protection

Creates a stable, heat-resistant foam blanket to help suppress flammable vapors and reduce the risk of reignition.

Choose the Right Foam Concentrate

Match your foam concentrate to the fuels you handle, the equipment you use, and the conditions on site. Use this checklist to guide your selection.

  • Identify your fuels, including any alcohols, polar solvents, or fuel blends.
  • Define the areas to be protected and whether you’ll use fixed systems or mobile firefighting equipment.
  • Check that product testing and approvals cover your fuels and intended application.
  • Confirm that the proportioning ratio and viscosity are compatible with your proportioning and discharge equipment.
  • Verify suitability for your water supply, storage temperatures, and operating conditions.
  • Review local fire protection requirements, PFAS restrictions, and disposal requirements for spent foam solution.
  • Plan for storage, periodic testing, and replenishment. Check system cleaning requirements when replacing an existing foam concentrate.
