CLASS A FOAM

CLASS A FIRE PROTECTION

Enhanced Wetting and Penetration for Class A Fire Suppression

LCF Fire Class A Foam Concentrate is formulated for fires involving solid combustibles such as wood, paper, textiles, and vegetation. When mixed with water at the specified proportion, it reduces surface tension to improve wetting and penetration into combustible materials, supporting cooling and helping control deep-seated smoldering and reduce the risk of reignition.

Suitable for Class A fire suppression in structural and wildland firefighting, the concentrate should be used according to the product’s technical instructions for proportioning, application, and equipment compatibility.

Freshwater & Seawater Compatible

Suitable for firefighting systems using either fresh water or seawater, making it ideal for marine, offshore and coastal applications.

Enhanced Wetting

Improves water’s ability to wet and penetrate solid combustible materials, supporting cooling during firefighting.

Cooling & Smoldering Control

Helps water reach smoldering material, supporting cooling and reducing the risk of reignition.

Choose the Right Foam Concentrate

Match your foam concentrate to the fuels you handle, the equipment you use, and the conditions on site. Use this checklist to guide your selection.

  • Identify your fuels, including any alcohols, polar solvents, or fuel blends.
  • Define the areas to be protected and whether you’ll use fixed systems or mobile firefighting equipment.
  • Check that product testing and approvals cover your fuels and intended application.
  • Confirm that the proportioning ratio and viscosity are compatible with your proportioning and discharge equipment.
  • Verify suitability for your water supply, storage temperatures, and operating conditions.
  • Review local fire protection requirements, PFAS restrictions, and disposal requirements for spent foam solution.
  • Plan for storage, periodic testing, and replenishment. Check system cleaning requirements when replacing an existing foam concentrate.
