FP Foam

CLASS B HYDROCARBON FIRE PROTECTION

FP Foam Concentrate for Hydrocarbon Fire Protection

LCF FIRE Fluoroprotein Foam Concentrate (FP) is designed for hydrocarbon flammable liquid fires. Its protein-based formulation combines fluorinated surfactants with a stable, heat-resistant foam blanket to suppress fuel vapors, cool the fuel, and separate it from air. Fuel contamination resistance and burnback resistance help maintain protective coverage over the fuel surface.

Designed for foam fire suppression in fuel storage terminals, oil refineries, petrochemical facilities, and fuel handling areas, LCF FIRE Fluoroprotein Foam Concentrate provides professional protection against hydrocarbon fuel hazards. Product selection and proportioning should follow the fuel type, system equipment, and applicable technical data.

Heat-Resistant Foam Blanket

LCF FIRE FP Foam forms a stable, heat-resistant foam blanket that suppresses hydrocarbon fuel vapors and maintains protective coverage over the fuel surface.

Fuel Contamination Resistance

The fluoroprotein formulation helps resist the effects of fuel contamination, maintaining foam stability and effective coverage during hydrocarbon fire suppression.

Burnback Resistance

FP Foam combines sustained coverage, vapor suppression, and cooling to help reduce reignition risk and support continued incident response.

Choose the Right Foam Concentrate

Match your foam concentrate to the fuels you handle, the equipment you use, and the conditions on site. Use this checklist to guide your selection.

  • Identify your fuels, including any alcohols, polar solvents, or fuel blends.
  • Define the areas to be protected and whether you’ll use fixed systems or mobile firefighting equipment.
  • Check that product testing and approvals cover your fuels and intended application.
  • Confirm that the proportioning ratio and viscosity are compatible with your proportioning and discharge equipment.
  • Verify suitability for your water supply, storage temperatures, and operating conditions.
  • Review local fire protection requirements, PFAS restrictions, and disposal requirements for spent foam solution.
  • Plan for storage, periodic testing, and replenishment. Check system cleaning requirements when replacing an existing foam concentrate.
